Naturally dried cuttlefish

Unbleached, naturally dried cuttlefish.

From Sematan. Taken at my Dad's cousins place.

Shell decoration from Sematan

Sematan beaches have a lot of seashells that are blown by the waves.

If you want to contact the shellmaker, look for Roslan (mobile +60105394119). Note that he only speaks Malay.

Rock stacking again!

Weekly trip to Damai Beach.

My tallest rock stack to date. Over 4.5 ft.

Took about 30 min to build. Had to roll the lowest stone because I just couldn't lift it.

Village Bedroom

Simple bedroom in a village about 2 hours out of Kuching, Sarawak.

Simple skylight and great decor.

Who says you need to be in city to have a room like this?

Communion in the countryside

Red wine in a teacup.

Portion of bread.

Rock Stacking

The things I do to pass time at the beach.

Taken 3 weeks ago.

Took awhile to balance. About an hour.

Palm Beach Resort

The view during the weekend trip to Sematan, a small fishing village about 1-1.5 hrs from Kuching city.

My new weekly habit : grounding in the ocean. My knees and muscles are aching a lot less when I do this.

Beautiful beach and all. Fun fun!

Hazy Days ahead

See the sky?

The result of traditional farming method of slash-and-burn combined with lack of rain and peat fires.

Borneo island has peat soil everywhere so once caught on air, only continuous rainfall will help fire and smoke low. The fire and smoke contributed to te haze.

Hopefully rains will come soon. API readings reaching 100 soon.

World Peace Day : I Love You.

In the midst of the chaos of anger, hatred and frustrations of life, I'm still learning to leave myself and love others, including people who have practices that I am uncomfortable with.

I'm not perfect and neither are they. But their business isnt any of my business.

Happy World Peace Day!

I Lub You All Lots Long Long Time!

Hugs!

Monster Hair!

Digital perm today. My hair looks...

...

Still waiting for perm to be over.

Then we see...

Gorgon anyone ?

Taking a piss ... literally ...

In broad daylight and in front of the main road of a huge housing area.

I guess it can happen anywhere in the world but it's not exactly something I'd like to see first thing in the morning.

Then no matter what, it is environmentally friendly. That's the irony of it all.

Ah well...

Gua sha and cupping treatment

Me getting alternative treatment to treat the "heat" in my body. Buildup from travelling, jet lag, bad sleeping patterns and lack of exercises. So the blood circulation wasn't great.

The masseur was shock to see a lot of blackheads and whiteheads popped up through the skin when she removed the glass cups. She wiped it away with the towels and wasn't painful.

Now feeling better but a few purple marks to heal. My sore throat and fever is going which is great. Trying to avoid takin antibiotics.

Pic was taken by a friend using her iPhone 3GS.

Fruit peddler selling

Wandering fruit peddler selling bags of fruit.

I was impressed that he had customized handles made to carry his bags of fruit around. Definitely made it easier to carry heavy bags.

Each bag contained approximately 1kg of fruit.

Taken at a coffee shop in Kuching.
